Seeking Information on this 2013 2.7L 981 Cayman VN13 OOV

After a positive PPI my nephew is planning to purchase this car and I would be grateful if any member can supply any information about it.

First registered on 1/6/2013 on VN13 OOV and then on the following plates, but now back on the original plate:

AO08 MAB from 12/6/2016 to 19/2/2017

SFH 664 from 17/9/2017 to 10/7/2019

Unfortunately the service book isn’t stamped with the supplying dealer, but the 2-year service was carried out by Porsche Sutton Coldfield, with subsequent services performed by Porsche Brooklands, Walkers Autotech and RPM Technik.

The current mileage is only 25,834 and it looks like a very well cared-for car with low mileages between the 2-year services, which makes me wonder if any of the owners were Club members.

If anyone can help, please post on here or PM me.

Hi Jeff,

Nothing on the database unfortunately, but of course this would not include members who left and remembered to change their profile! I will try WhatsApp.

Cheers, John

Thanks for that John. I was going to have a bash at WhatsApp myself but if you have that covered I’ll wait to see if you get any bites; and including this post, I think that we’ve covered all the bases.

I was a bit disappointed to learn that the supplying dealer hadn’t bothered to complete and stamp the service book [sheer laziness on the part of the sales exec!], but I believe that the information should be available from Porsche HQ in Reading if my nephew wants to pursue that matter.

Incidentally I was very impressed with the inspection carried out by Porsche Inspections in MK whose report was very detailed and comprehensive.

Cheers, Jeff

If you know the VIN I can have a look on the PPN to see if there is any OPC history on there.

Many thanks for the feedback chaps.

My nephew took delivery of the car last week and is very pleased with his purchase. Although the services are documented, the supplying dealer isn’t recorded, but I suspect that it could have been the one who did the first service because the first owner had the car for 3-years.

I’ll check with my nephew to ask if he wants to take the matter further and get back to you.

Cheers,

Jeff

Hi Jeff

Looking at it the car was PDI'd by Solihull at 6 miles and some warranty work done 1700 miles later.
1st service done also at Solihull and then sold at Sutton Coldfield in 2015. Then had a major in 2017 at Brooklands and was serviced by them until 2019.

I've sent you the PPN report on a PM.

Many thanks for that Dan.👍

Some useful info there as there’s nothing in the service records of Solihull’s involvement with the car even though it seems that they were the supplying dealer, and the first service in the book is in 2015 at Sutton Coldfield which appears to be at variance with your data.🤔

I’ll pass on the info to Rob for his records.

Jeff
