I'm looking to buy a 997 Cabriolet and would appreciate some helpful hints..

Manual or Tiptronic?...
The purist in me says manual, but I honestly know little about the tiptronic - having only driven Manual on my 930 & Cayman..

Things to beware of..?
Any inherent problems to beware of (such as the 996 IMS type of issue)..?

Fellow Members insights would be most welcome!
Thanks
Phil

IMS issues affected the 2005 3.6 carrera same M96 engine was used as 996 They have mostly been fixed using upgraded parts ,The were some cars that suffered with bore scoring in both 3.6 and 3.8.
