After managing to free up the boot lock without too much trouble (WD40 where the key goes, left it for a while and the key turned with a bit of force), I came across a similar but much more stubborn version of the problem on the driver's door lock. I have a remote control for the central locking, so that's probably why I hadn't noticed for 2 weeks!
It'd appear that the lock has been seized solid for a while - for starters it is stuck in a slightly-turned position (not perfectly horizontal as you'd expect), there are loads of small scratch marks on the handle around the barrel, and it looks like someone's tried to have a go at shifting it with a screwdriver (and slightly mangled the metal key-hole opening).
So, is this an OPC/locksmith kind of job then, or shall I keep trying the WD40/3-in-1 trick..ideas much appreciated as always!
