Hi Frenchy,

You're right, I don't want to, but I now have too many cars for my garage after buying the perfect 911 (for my tastes anyway)......!

Strange to hear about the PH advert; I've tried it on 3 computers and 6 browsers and they all seem fine to me - you still having problems?

Russ

Lovely car, good luck with the sale. The PH advert works form [:)]

Why does the dash need to come out to repair the window problem? I had similar issues and replacing the switch on the passenger side solved the problem http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PORSCHE-944-ELECTRIC-WINDOW-SWITCH-951-613-133-00-/360289990880?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item53e2f4f8e0

I cant help thinking the thought of pulling the dash off might put a few people off.

Piccies are there OK for me but you WILL regret selling it.

Are you sure a 911 is so much better?

Oli.
Speaking from experience and being 64 years OLD nearly I would not go back to a 944 as a Sunday car again. The most frustrating thing with the best 944 there is, the 944 turbo cab, it that whilst incredibly fast people will just not be polite and move out of your way no matter that they are doing 69.9 indicated which is probably 64 true they act like it is their civic duty to impede you lest you risk 3 points on your licence. In the 911 they just don't. I say don't, but you do get the odd tvat. On that basis alone I'd pick the 911. In the turbo it just all happens an order of magnitude quicker. 32 mpg on long run on French Motorways. Slight loss of practicality luggage wise. I'll settle for that

I think it is because the window relays are tucked up under there somewhere. At least on the wiring diagram for the cab the co-ordinate map shows them to be there or there abouts they are the ones that drop the windows about four inches to raise the hood. I did read that ensuring a good courtesy light switch earth can alleviate some of the symptoms

There are two different reg numbers in the pictures, what is the current Reg in case I want to do an HPI check?

Hi Bob,

The registration will be F532 YFX after the transfer/on sale, but right now I guess it would be RPF 253.

HTH,
Russ

Zzzzzzz, and in the dry it's dull to drive until you're doing double the speed limit.
Isn't. nerh!

Car is now sold for very close to asking price.

The car is going in a few weeks, so I'll keep checking in on this great forum.

Cheers,

Russ

However, I shall always treasure my memories of the 944; she was a little cracker and sooooooooooo popular with everyone.

Open roads and blue skies to you all,[:D]

I had one of those. I liked it so much I bought my 944 to be a daily car and so I could keep the 911 for special occasions. Obviously it didn't work out like that. The 911 soon went and it's the 944 that's ended up feeling the love and being cherished. Best made plans and all that!
