Seriously!

Well, I've never come across an SE before...must be really rare. Was all that stuff factory fitted options? More likely to be dealer fitted in order to shift unsold stock to make way for the 968? My car, first reg. January 1992 has a build date September 1990, so had been hanging around unsold for 15 months. Don't forget there had been a financial crash, and at almost £40k this was an expensive car. Someone knowledgeable will be along soon, hopefully, to enlighten us...Simon?

They were the last few S2's with various tasty options (dampers/LSD (did they all have this?)/968 steering wheel/bridge spoiler) and (in my opinion) tacky stickering. I think the changes were made by Porsche cars GB. I think that one has been on here before, no mention of original mileage - just complete rebuild.

I'd have expected a new expansion tank for that money!

Good to see the S2 getting the recognition it deserves...

Tony is right - Porsche GB parts-bin model. AFAIK it had a superchips chip, allegedly 225bhp. Be lucky to get £15k IMO, but what do i know?

They were 'optioned' by Porsche GB with permission from Porsche DE, there is an official bulletin that details the additions and their part numbers, an ECU chip was also available as part of the package.

Bridge spoiler was standard fit on all S2's at the end of production so not part of SE spec

For £55k I'd expect a new £140 header tank as a minimum.

Typing at the same time as EDH !!

If it was an S2 SE with a Full Ruddy restoration only Bernie Ecclestone need apply £££££££££ :ROFLMAO:

I'm wondering if its the one that sold at auction recently for 43k and they have stuck a cheeky profit margin on it ?

As said Porsche GB edition to shift the last remaining ones, 16k tops subject to a good inspection, great cars but at 55k that would put you in an early GT3 / 997 Turbo.......hmmm

I recall that the info Sent out to the dealers about the car was signed off by our own Steve Kevlin.

There is a better scan knocking about somewhere but this is the best link to S2 SE differences I can find

This came up on Facebook a while ago so hasn't sold yet - don't know why!

I'd really question whether any car dealer should be using the phrase "guaranteed investment". [8|]

I think those huge decals are awful and would be the first thing to go in my parts box in my garage,,,,,

Surely they are not gonna get anywhere near that asking price?,,,,,jasonp

saw that while over there for a photo shoot. Its quite an awesome car and it’s history and provenance is what gives its value and appeal to collectors. There was also a nice Turbo at a shade under £19k.

There were also some stonking other cars there, lottery jobs.
