the cab went in today for a full service and thorough check, and had all fluids, filters, gearbox oil, brake fluid flush, plugs the whole shebang and a good look over and inspection (although the specialist did a ppi before i bought) and given a clean bill of health apart from:-

nearside front caliper bleed nipple broken
air intake hose damaged
no2 plug top (HT lead) cracked

and thats it, so very happy!!

i'm going to replace all the HT leads as they look like the originals, and air intake hose. i'll get the calipers done next year before spring, and will get them all re-built.
one happy chappy, esp when the bill came £231 inc vat and labour!!

Must be very satisfying. And it must also drive like a dream ...

Plug leads have come up on here a couple of times recently. I seem to recall (from yonks ago) someone posting up details of someone who made plug leads, and would do a set for a lot less than the cost of Porsche leads (which are pricey to the point of considering a second mortgage). Anyone have his details? I could do with a set, Mr Hard-Of-Hearing sounds like he needs a set and there may be others as well.

Maybe worth starting a new thread, perhaps.

Oli.

i've phoned a guy who was rec'd to me to replace the rear cab screen as well this morning, so he's picking it up, stripping it down and fitting a new screen for £350 all inc, so another job boxed off!
just the belts and water pump to do and thats it, so a happy chapp indeed!!!
