Can anyone give me a guide price for a 24000 mile service on a Boxster S.
A couple of months ago I asked my OPC for the price. I am sure they said around £350.00. When I rang to book it in, I was surprised when they quoted £596.00.

Funny that - doesn't matter what car you buy, from whcih manufacturer.

They tell you its X for the first service and Y for the next, but when the time comes its always 30%+ dearer than they told you previously

Ring a few other dealers, within say 100 miles (including out of city ones), then go back to your local and tell them the lowest price, they will probably match it to get the business.

[;)]This is exactly what I did and my local supplying OPC agreed to match my best researched work.

Be warned though on the day when it came time to pay they presented me with there NORMAL service charges and I said sorry this isn't what I agreed and the service receptionist immediately corrected the invoice without even double checking!!

I did all my negotiations via the salesman who sold me my car and for obvious reasons he was keen I stayed at the centre, as who knows where I might have gone come new car purchase time [8D]

My research saved me around £100.00 on a 1st low mileage service .... Good luck

I've just booked mine in at OPC Silverstone. I was quoted the following

Service £376 +VAT (includes oil at £10/ltr)
Brake Fluid £80 + VAT

New set (f+r) of pads if necessary and done at same time £156 + VAT

Brake fluid change sounds like labour only! I know they charge £80.00ph but what about the cost of the fluid or in OPC case Liquid Gold :ROFLMAO:

My Boxster had a 24month service last Monday at Tonbridge.Cost £392.Was informed that I had received a discount of approx.£30 due to being a member of PCGB.Car has done 10,000miles from new.May effect the final price.?

I shopped around the Midlands OPC's last year and got a range of low £500s to low £600's (inc VAT).

This seems to be about the norm - expensive yes, but the norm[&o]

Thanks very much for the reply. It seems than the parts / consumables are accounting for the difference. I will ask exactly what is incluided for the price.
