Service due in 26 days.... oh no it isn't

Evening all,

Had a service message flag up today saying 26 days left. I collected the car new in July 2012 and have only covered 8k miles so this message is rather early!

As the GTS was a physical car (not built to order) I'm assuming the car was built/supplied earlier (assuming April 2012). So will this be a case of just getting the OPC to reset it reflecting a July 2014 date?

Thanks, Simon

Simon, that's what I would do.
I had a similar situation with this car so called them to clarify that it may be showing a late for service on the display, they noted the fact and I just took it in when required.
They were fine but I just wanted it logged as such.

Hi Clewsy
Had exactly the same myself and OPC reset on service
A reminder you can check remaining days and mileage until service by scrolling through to info/ service on steering column stick at any time so can check OPC have reset correctly after servicing

Yeah, normally I look at this every now and then but as I was so far from the date didn't even think of looking.

Anyway, call made to said OPC and will be reset in July.

I've also learned today that I can get cheaper labour (£75 p/h) for my 11 year old Boxster including 10% off parts (know you get this as a member) and a free yearly MOT. Bonus. Even a free wash and vac each month. Glad I called now to learn this [:)]

As a side note, experienced another GTS at full throttle this morning in front of me on the M3 being driven "enthusiastically". Oh the noise.... lovely.... heard it very well above my radio.

Cheers, Simon
