Service experience question

Has anyone got experience of dealing with Prill Porsche Classics for early 911 servicing that they would be willing to share?

Hi Robin
I have a 1972 2.4e that I did a full restoration on with the help of Gantspeed almost 10 years ago. I maintain it properly with regular fluid changes etc and it gets used (done about 10k since the restoration). Everything is fine except that it has developed a backfiring issue, particularly on decellaration, which I am sure is fuel injection related rather than exhaust.
I am looking to find a reputable and experienced outfit to give the car a full check over and service and to hopefully sort the backfire issue out. I also want an updated valuation and want to do this independently from Gantspeed this time (I still really rate them but would just like a second opinion - not that I am planning to sell).
I have been considering either Prill Porsche Classics or Export 56. Not used either but I read good things online, particularly about Export 56. Any advice appreciated.

Hi Keith

Andy Prill is one of the leading experts on early Porsche models 356 / 911 and is well respected within the Porsche Community and also Porsche AG.

He's a smashing guy and if I was in your position I would not hesitate to call him and discuss.

Hi Keith, Not sure where you are in UK, if near North London you could try Steve Winters at JAZ Porsche St Albans.
They work on a lot of early cars and Steve races them as well. Peter is correct about Andy Prill.

Peter, sorry we are not in Switzerland on the postphoned Porsche Parade, its a long time to wait until next year.
