Service history

I suspect that if it has been within the Porsche network then yes, you will be able to contact Porsche for a list of all services it has had. Snag is that by this time, most 944's will have been outside the dealer network for a while and hence tracing the service history will be nigh on impossible. OK, some of the larger indies may remember it, but that's about it. And if it has been home-serviced (which many have been), there will be no record anywhere. (My S2 appears to have been totally unserviced for the last 50k miles, since I bought it. However I have a fairly comprehensive log of what I have done to it and when, with receipts for parts where necessary.) Having said that, buy on condition not on service history. A well looked-after car will show as such, which is probably why you bought it. OK, it could be useful to find out how long since certain bits were done (how much time have the cam belts done, for instance), and you may have to guess those ones a little. Oli.

Is it possible to trace a service history of these cars? I have no service history with mine,[:(] However My M5 i was able to ring bmw and get a list of the dealerships my car had been serviced at then all i had to do was send my service book round each of the three dealerships and the stamped it accordingly Voila a complete service history!
