Service interval for coil packs?

Hi, what's the service interval for Coil Packs? I need to change my Spark Plugs and when I'm in there, I could change the coils too. Car is 7 years old but only 44Kmiles. I would expect them to last much longer. Any ideas on the subject?
Thanks, Ray

Note sure what 997 you have but I had a 05 997 C2S and about 80,000 or so one of them developed an intermittent fault showing up. Needed replacing and one or two of the others looked (physically on the outside at least) very tired so I changed all 6 as a precaution as I was about to do a 3k journey around Europe for our honeymoon.

Not sure if Coil Packs are a regular service item or not but mine all looked original with 80+k on them. Hope that helps.

no service interval on coil packs ,when they go wrong they will cause a misfire and bring on engine management light on dash, they will age and start to crack overtime.when this happens it is best to change all six (when I sold my last boxster a 987 the car was 10 years old I had it for 8 years and the coil packs were all ok )

Thanks fellas. Think I will leave it this time round and change them next time round. Gona change plugs quite often anyway. £33 in eurocarparts for 6bosch.
