Update on OPC in the East of England service..

well after I got my car back and running it for a couple of days it threw up faults on the dash and started running rough , not knowing what this was I went back to porsche and they put on the computer straight away without appointment which was great ,
when the service manager came out he said the tec said it Was showing a fault in the rear diff sensor and he said it was because I fitted 21 inch wheels ? ,so I went away and did some research and once done it was confirmed the 19 inch wheels and tyres against my 21 inch wheels and tyres there was only 0.06% difference , so I rang the service manager back up and stated my case , the car never had any problems before even with these wheels fitted , he went on to say it must be the wheels sensors ? So I said I would check these out .
well after searching all the forums around the world it became clear the root main problem for the faults for these models faults on mine being psm, stop start off, engine check light , these were the ones I was getting
my car has only done 16k and was in for timing bolts change and gear linkage changes , if anyone knows it’s a coil pack removal etc to get to do the work , remember this "

so I thought I’d check out my coil pack , thinking no,, Porsche have had these out they must be ok ,,
well it’s safe to say I removed the coil pack and out of 8 cylinders I’ve got 5 cracked , ?!!!!! Not good and before anyone says oh that’s ok they still work ok , what all 5 of them I don’t think so , so here is the issue
my car when cold ran ok not great and when it got hot faults came up ,
so I rebut what I said about OPC in the East of England beware steer clear the whole point is if you put your car in
professional hands you expect the correct advice , ie when these elements were taken out WHY WAS I NOT INFORMED ? And please don’t say oh they were most probably checked , clearly they were not I then start thinking what else has not be reported correctly ,

thank goodness I’ve had cars of this standard before and know what I’m up against and I can do most work and understand it myself ,

it’s safe to say I will not be returning I’ve bought and fitted a new coil pack and guess what no issues ,

I hope this has been helpful,
