Last week the Cayman S needed a major service and so it was booked in and duly done last Saturday morning, on collection I was told that there was wear in one of the steering joints and that it would need doing soon, especially bearing in mind that I'm currently doing 600 miles a week ( about to get a second car to ease the burden on the CS ).

So one evening on my way home from work I called in to see Chris at CG, I had thought of lowering the CS but to fit CR springs would actually stiffen the already hard ride, and so I thought not but Chris says that there are some spacers above the the damper mounts dependent on which were fitted at the factory it is possible to get 5mm lowering by just changing from the thickest 8mm to the thinnest at 3mm you can even remove them all together leaving just the rubber cushion in place.

Anyway, as the discussion progressed Chris was saying that by just lowering at the front you can get easier turn in and so when I do go for the steering and a full alignment next month, we'll see which spacers are fitted and address how to lower a little maybe just at the front.
