Service warning light..... Really

Hi All
Looking for some advice if possible.
I've had my 997 2S tucked away in the garage for the past 3-4 weeks and got it out over the weekend for a quick drive and noticed on the dash it had "Service in 2 weeks"....
Its currently sat at approx 56,100 and the last major service was done at 55,600 and on 28.9.16 so literally 5 months ago and 500 miles ago.

How can the light be on?
Is there a manual way to re-set it or is that a big no no.

Thanks
Matt

if i were you i would check if the last servicing garage resent the counter. possibly not. worth a call...

This happened to me, garage forgot to rest, system used up remaining mileage. Went back and had it reset.
