Servicing Costs / intervals

I am thinking of swapping my 944 for a late 90's Boxster. I will only do around 3000 a year in it, which is obviously well below the service intervals in terms of milage. I have read some other threads that discuss servicing costs and intervals but I am still a little unclear on something.

Based on my likely usage, what srt of servicing should I expect to have to have done each year and at what sort of cost?

Thanks.

If you do less than 9,000 miles a year you can have an "Annual Check", which, at an OPC will take about an hour and cost an hour's labour. So about £100.

This is the schedule for pre-2004 Model Year cars.

Edit:
Whoop - Beaten to it [:D]
I see the price has gone up slightly as well...[&:]

Note: Annual check can only be used instead of the minor service (so every other year on a low mileage car) you still have to do the full major service the year after.

Annual check is minor service minus oil, oil filter and pollen filter change; I get the annual check at OPC for the stamp and get the other three changed at an indi for no where close to £204 price (minor - annual check difference)

Hmmm... I seem to have managed to get annual checks done in a different order to Kish.
My records go:

12 days (!) 2083 miles - Oil and Filter (I'd just brought the car back from the factory and made the most of my 10 days [8D] ) This 'service' done at my insistance "I'm an engineer - indulge me".

Year 1 - 8585 miles - Annual Check
Year 2 - 21118 Miles - 24K service (new oil)
Year 3 - 25656 Miles - Annual Check
Year 4 - 34905 Miles - 12K Service (new oil) <-- Doesn't meet the criteria Kish has been told
Year 5 - 41893 Miles - Annual Check
Year 6 - 48346 Miles - 48K service (new oil)

All oil changes were done using my own oil purchased from Auchan - approx £40 for 10l of Mobil 1. I insisted the filter was changed each oil change.

Any time based items were done at the alloted time (Spark Plugs at 4 years, Air bag checks every 4 years, Brake Fluid every 2 years, Long Life Guarantee every year).

My Guarantee and Maintenance booklet (Service history book) states:

Yearly Maintenance
Yearly maintenance must be performed on vehicles with less than 15,000km (9000 miles) per year.
Scheduled maintenance with oil-filter change must be performed in accordance with the milage after two years at the latest, unless the milage for scheduled maintenance was reached before this time.
If the yearly milage is more than 15,000 km (9000 miles), it is recommended to perform the next scheduled maintenance.

It says schedule maintenance - not major maintenance.

Of course when I booked the car in this time I had to argue for a 48K service - they insisted that at 6 years they do a 24 mile service - meaning they would be working to a time-based schedule rather than milage...[&:]

Mark, criteria told by Porsche West London but having said that I have not yet reach year 4 and my years 1-3 match your record (less mileage [;)]).

It would be good news for me if I get away with what you have done in year 4 as I am expecting the big "4 years or 48K" major service with spark plugs and brake fluid changed (which have to be changed irrelevant of mileage) minus the 48K only fuel filter and drive belt change.
