Fit Ferrari 355 or, more importantly for this forum, 968 (or 944 Turbo/S2, I think) front callipers. Might also fit 993 or even a 928 - can someone advise?

I bought a complete set of 8 as fitted to a 355 but the proud owner had them removed by the garage after the first half mile as he didn't like the noise! I had one set in the fronts on my 968 CS and found them brilliant, rarely heard them, just occasionally when cold, and they stopped really well, even after bedding in on the way to a track day! Anyway, here's the other set. Make me a sensible offer.

Well you would know, Dave and I've binned all the info I had. Having said that, I seem to remember the rear (non MO30) callipers on my CS were smaller than the fronts - or am I imagining that? I had the standard brake setup and never had any reason to regret not upgrading to MO30 when I had them sorted out at EMC. Had plate lift on all 4 so they fitted serviceable front callipers (from EMC) and new rears (eBay). Kevin recommended using the Pagids in the front and the standard pads at the back for fast road and occasional trackday use. He was right; it was a great combo.

Richard. Hi. If the car has standard calipers, ie NOT M030 or big red, then theyl fit both front and rears. The only difference between f+r is the piston diameter... If the car HAS M030 or big reds then theyl fit the rears only... I hope that makes sense...[;)][:D][;)]

It does and thanks. All I need now is someone who wants his non-MO30 setup to be part Pagid or someone with MO30s to go from part-Pagid to all-Pagid! [:D][:D][:D]

Steve Brookes has cleared up exactly what they are - not Yellow but yellow. After I put a photo on the F/S thread he posted: "...you can see the Brembo logo which suggests they're pads made by Pagid for Brembo. The plates are just painted yellow while the friction compound is RS 4-2-1 which is also known as 'black'. Still a decent track compound but not an endurance compound like RS29 (yellows)."

This explains why they are fine for road use. I presume 355 callipers are yellow, which is why these would be painted that colour. I found some PET printouts while clearing out and Big Dave was spot on about piston sizes. The standard fronts have 36/40 while MO30 are 36/44, and the rears are 28/30. I also notice that with the standard callipers, the 951 part number for the pads is the same back and front, while with the MO30 option the front pads (starting 928) are of course bigger anyway but the rears (starting 993) must be the same size as mine, but presumably a different (harder?) compound from the standard pad to balance the greater stopping power at the front. So if I'm right, my pads must be the very thing for the rears on a car with the MO30 brakes! [:D][:D][:D]

Glad to be of help Richard...and also worth mentioning that a set of these new (from Design911) would cost £155.47 + VAT. So they could be a bargain for someone. [;)]

Well I make that £186.56, possibly plus postage. These aren't even half that! I think I owe you a drink, Steve............. Perhaps when I'm visiting bro-in-law in Winsford!

Thought I had a buyer but no. Anyone want to help me with decluttering? Silly offers considered - but not necessarily accepted!

I offer one wife, high mileage and small maintainance at this stage. You did say make offers ! Sale as is and you collect.

Refurbed or original paintwork? High mileage is not an issue - lack of use is much worse in my experience, leads to all sorts of systems seizing up. I might consider this quite seriously if there's an extended warranty. Not sure if I believe the bit about small maintenance though. Has there ever been one you could truthfully say that about? Or does she have a large private income?

There's a bit of info about the material on here for anybody interested in these. http://www.brakes-pads-discs.co.uk/pagid/products/rs421-black-carbon-based.php If you have a look at the links on the left for Material Specification you can also get the information on how it compares to other compounds. A good pad for sporty road use which also conforms to R90 specs for road use.
