A good idea. I have always wondered why people here in the UK buy LHD cars.

I've never understood why Japanese imported 968s are all LHD though, as they drive on the left like us.

Odd as it sounds, having a left-hand-drive car in Japan is seen as a status symbol. While they are harder to use, they are seen as more desirable.

For a premium brand such as Porsche, practically all cars ordered in Japan will be LHD.

I couldn't have worded it better my self ! Spot on when it comes to LHD in Japan . The next best thing in Japan is a white lhd Porsche ! That is regarded as the best colour . I bought my LHD 944 Turbo with the idea to take it over to Spain and leave it there for the holidays fun ride , but after looking into the amount of hoops you have to jump through to reregister the 944 there , I have changed my mind ! Still you get used to driving a LHD in the Uk it's not to bad but would prefer a RHD again !
