Just a quick post to remind you all about the Shanes Castle event.

Date:- 4th June 2011
Time:- Official start 11am. You may want to arrive early to get parked (especially concours entrants) Gates open 9.30am
Location:- Shanes Castle. Co. Antrim
Entry Fee: £5 per car.
Nominated charity: Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children.


A big part of the day is the concours event - so start preparing your car now. There are 2 categories, Show and shine and Street. Please contact me if you need more details regarding concours entry. Entries for concours close at 11.30am.
All prep work stops at 12 o'clock and judging commences at 12 o'clock.

Also joining us will be the Mercedes Benz Club, GTiNI and BMW-NI (All German marques will be well represented)
There will also be a vast range of trade stands (so have some spare cash in your pocket for some essential purchases!)

I Would have been very interested to attend but I am entered in the Cultra hillclimb on that day. (not in the Porsche).

PORSCHE CLUB CELEBRATES GOLDEN JUBILEE AT SHANE'S CASTLE

Saturday 4 June will see around 250 German performance cars will be gathering at Shane's Castle near Antrim as the Ireland region of Porsche Club Great Britain celebrates its Golden Jubilee and hosts its annual Charity Open Day and Street Concours.

The fun starts at 9.30am and continues to around 4.30pm with Pamela Ballantine, local broadcaster and motorsport enthusiast, officially opening the show at 11am.

Even bigger than last year, there will be some of the finest Porsche cars from across the UK and Ireland. The Mercedes Owners Club (NI) and Volkswagen GTINI will also be joining in the fun, making it a show of German cars not to be missed.

An auto-village of trade stands will include Agnew Porsche, ecurie25 - the ultimate supercar club, Meguiars - car care products, Nu-Luk Wheels - alloy repair and restoration and lots, lots more.

Entry is just £5 (per car) for a day filled with some very special cars ranging from the "˜just out of the box' to some early 70's models, and it's all for a good cause with proceeds going to Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children.

It will be a day with something for everyone "" just bring along a genuine interest and the club will do the rest!

It's easy to find, from Massereene roundabout follow the signs for Shane's Castle on the Randalstown Road for just over two miles and the entrance is on the left. From Randalstown roundabout it's just over a mile with the entrance on the right.

Porsche Club Great Britain, formed in 1961, is the only officially recognised Porsche Club in the UK.

great show on saturday , sorry i had to leave a bit early but was great to catch up with a few people , anyone know the results of the concours ?

Colms silver 993 won again - its a very clean car. He cant enter next year - so someone else is in with a shout.....
 
had a great day at the show on Saturday. roll on next year as usual the weather did not let us down! great work guys.
