Excellent. That's what they were made for! Hope you had fun. I'm hopping around like a child at 6am on christmas morning this week because after I finally found insurance for a reasonable price which allows modifications, my car is in the garage having all the wonderful bits I've dreamed about being done[:)] 997 gt3 gearshift, gt2 intercoolers, forge dv valves and a custom re-mapping.

This means even more fun[8D] Plus the suggested torque figure for the finished product is higher than an XJ220, the new Mclaren bi turbo thingy and the new 7.0 big Lamborghini.. which is nice[:D]

Thats a lot of fun in a box there!.

Yes irresponsible childish behavior was plentiful yesterday.

I'm back to normal today?.

Hi DivineE. Tell me more about your upgrade. Who will you be getting to do the work? I have been looking at the DMS remap to 525bhp but sounds like you will be sprinkling more magic dust on your turbo. Is yours already X50 upgraded?

No mine is a 420 model I've actually been persuaded to tone down the boost a little bit for now so the torque figure wont be quite as high as I was hoping when I wrote that comment but you can get around 550ft/lb out of the standard K16 turbos. Mine will probably 'only' be just over 500lb/ft for now (still more than 2 out of 3 of those cars).

I'm currently adding a panel filter, Forge DV valves, the X50/GT2 intercoolers (new from Porsche) and a Fearnsport re-map to the car but I have a set of hybrid turbos (build from the GT2/X50 turbos) with my name on them that I've been persuaded to hold off fitting until I've fitted some 997 6-pot brakes and a beefier clutch. That'll be 600ish hp, similar torque and as far as I will ever take it with the car. For now 480-490hp anf 500ft/lb will have to do[&o].
