Shifter picture request

Hi all,

Can anybody supply me with a picture of an aftermarket shifter on a marble grey interior. I was looking specifically at the MY'02 Alu/leather shifter advertised on the Carnewell site.

Thinking of fitting one to my 993 to be prior to taking delivery but would like to see how it looks. Seems that the original shifter in marble grey is hard to source.

Thanks,Tim

Is Marble Grey a light grey? I have a picture I tried to upload it but at 1Mb it is too large. I can't work out how to make it smaller just now. If you email me I can email me with you addy I'll send it to you.

Marble Grey is the lighter grey - Classic grey is darker, I found out by mistake ! an expensive mistake !!!

Cheers Maurice.

Here's the picture of my interior. The shifter looks "factory" to me. the only problem is it makes the hanbrake look grubby. There are a couple of tips for fitting the 02 MY shifter to prevent rattles. gert can help you with this.

Thanks PP that was just what I was looking for. Looks really good think I'm sold ! Only problem is that the handbrake on mine is very tatty....body shop reckon that they can clean it up though.

Cheers,
Tim

Hi Beau/Maurice,

Thanks for the info - I was toying with the idea of going for the matching handbrake but due to the fact that I am putting some additional spend elsewhere into the car (pads/check strap/wishbones/cat heat shield) prior to taking delivery my budget is pretty much blown for now ! BTW I did get the cost of these items factored into the deal ! Just counting down the weeks now, sold my current motor (a Mini Cooper S) last night...I'm new to Porsche ownership and so picking up the car is going to be a day to remember !

Beau if you could share a pic of your interior that would be great.

Cheers,Tim

Looking like the 09th June Beau, I'm actually meeting the seller and paying for it next week but it then goes into the workshop which makes the wait all the more frustrating !!

It's a Ocean blue C2 - not too far removed from your pride and joy...minus the spoiler and fat bottom of course [:D] Will be taking it along to the ACE cafe next month to show it off !
