Shiny new pipes - thorough recommendation for Spectrum HoseH

Afternoon All !

Thought I'd share a pic of my new shiny pipes as repaired/produced by Spectrum hose of High Wycombe, Paul the owner provides excellent service and nothing is too much hassle :)

Well. How very nice. Bravo!

I find that my local Pirtek are equally helpful and I think it was you who recommended that I should try them. Turn up when they are quiet and be willing to pay cash and they will make some splendid pipes for very little money. (Very cheap place to buy hydraulic fluid too; they are used to selling it by the tens of gallons, so the odd few hundred ML for power steering in a 944 is very small fry and very cheap!)

you're spot on about hydraulic fluid and the cost away from Halfords etc. Paul @ Spectrum has done all my hoses and with the exception of the clutch flexi hose (still not fitted it yet) all rubber hoses (ex water hoses) have now been replaced by braided lines. I get the impression that Paul (and probably others) quite enjoy the change from doing 'standard' hydraulic hoses.

When I picked mine up today he smiled and said " nice to have a different car related challenge...."

Lesson = very little need to buy need hydraulic hoses from OPC etc - just have them remade/ improved by Pirtek etc and they'll last a lot longer !
