Evening all, haven't posted for a while, car going well, just had major service at indy and they recommend a new
set of shocks...Car has done 131K....had a quick look round and quite fancy the look of the Bilsteins.
Car has M030 sports suspension with LSD...Bilsteins do B4, B6 or B8...Does anybody have any experience in fitting these?

Thanks

Andy

I had B6s fitted when I had a suspension rebuild done on my Turbo. It is very subjective, but I felt they improved the ride quality and the handling, but of course I was comparing 65,000 mile used shocks with brand new ones. There were quite a few other changes that also contributed to a much improved overall result.

Chris Franklin, who did the rebuild, said he thought the B4 original fitment were "the accountant's choice of shock absorber", which made me smile.

Hi Richard, thanks for the feedback, will probably go for a complete set of B6's then. Let you know how they
perform.

Agree I thought the original shocks looked a bit puny, in fairness to the accountants, probably
helped save Porsche at that time LOL...

You might consider going the whole hog and also fitting matching Eibach springs, as tested on the Nurburgring.

This is known as the B12 kit and I've fitted it to a couple of cars now and they are fantastic. Pro-Kit is for road, Sportline is for ....sport? Lower/firmer.

I went for Pro-kit on a B5 RS4 and it was tremendous; really compliant but not roll at all. Same for a 635D.

Here's the 996 link: B12 Pro-Kit 996

Buy from Ebay.de is cheapest way.

GL!
