Shop or Reference 4 USA P Club Member?

Cheers from the mountains of Montana in the USA.

Realize this is newer than 74, but...am looking for a 75-77 3.0L Turbo/Carrera engine block and found one with a guy named Bradley Oconnor in Blackpool.

Question is, how do I know if he/it is any good. Here in the states we merely put out the word through the Porsche Club of America (PCA) and you can usually get the true story on what's going on or how to check things out. Am hoping that works across the pond.

Here are my questions (either of which will help):

1. Anyone in the Club know of Mr. Oconnor of Blackpool?

2. Is there a shop you might recommend that has extensive engine building/racing experience near Blackpool that would know how to check out a bare engine block?

That's about it. Hope this finds my Porsche mates in the UK well and smiling. Spent quite a bit of time in Bournemouth a few years ago, would have loved to have had my 911 or 356 with me, the countryside is beautiful--as were the people.

I Have Googled name etc and not found a lot - perhaps my man on the ground Peter (he lives just a few miles from Blackpool) will be able to throw some light on him - expect another pm.

Glad to help out anytime - but looks like Fred (above) will be able to help out OK. If not just PM me.

Have you placed a 'wanted' ad somewhere on the internet with your email address in it ?

If so, I have had a number of similar emails stating that the sender had what I needed - all of them (using different names) with addresses in Blackpool (the actual address was included in the email).

These are scams - I mistakenly opened the first one I received & it infected my PC ...

Thanks folks! So nice to be able to tap into the Porsche Club family for advice. Appreciate your help tracking down this trickster.

PS: Still looking for the turbo/carrera block if you run across any thing.

Cheers!
