shopping around DOES pay off - OPC story

My pride and joy its since Monday in OPC - Porsche East London.

Picking it either tomorrow or Friday ( fingers crossed ).

I noticed before dropping it that the front arms / bushes were squeaking - not nice.

I asked them to take a look and at the same time I emailed a few indy's asking what to do and getting quotes for replacing arms and bushes.

JZM quoted me 550 with VAT for that - seemed a ballpark figure.

Today morning got a call from my service advisor at the OPC quoting me 780 with VAT for the job - I said to forget it since I had a much inferior quote from an indy at I would go there.

They ask me which one and what price and that the OPC will call me in a bit.

30m later they call me and match JZM price - I gave the go for the repairs at the OPC.

Lesson learnt - it does pay to shop around and have something to lower OPC prices.

OPC service centres are so short of business they are often matching or at least trying to match prices on cars 4 years and older
