Short shift

Hi

can anyone tell me if is possible to fit a short shift gear lever as an after market mod?

If this is possible any idea of the cost and is it worth it?

Yes, a short shift is not too difficult to retro fit, and the kits are availbale from most OPC's or independent dealers, also many part specialists such as (I seem to recall) Type 911 etc.

The E bay kit is as good as any other and a lot cheaper too. The OPC short shift consists of a complete new lever assembly, the benefits of which are you can change back to original at a alater date. The non oem kits do not allow you to change back as the levers are different and the orginal bearings are destroyed during fitting so bespoke bearings are supplied in the kit.
