Short Shifter- SS

Guest

New member
Guys,

Can anyone offer advice on the SS for 2.7 987? I have driven a few without and found the shift a little on the long side, although not that bad...

I spoke to one of dealers in OPC and he said, personally he much preferred SS. He did point out a little clucky and stiff on cold start....

Interested to hear any experienced opinions?

Thanks in advance
GG

Hi Gordon
I had the short shift option on my 987S, and would agree with the sentiments expressed by the salesman.
It was a little reluctant when cold, but I found the whole shift was much more satisfying and more 'solid'. The shift action was greatly reduced and the salesman at my OPC was very impressed, as was I.
I would definitely recommend it, despite the slight 'baulkiness' when cold.
Hope this helps.

well I got to try it.......... and while it can be a little stiff here and there, its much much better than standard...

So its been ordered :)

Each to his or her own, I have no problems with what came with the car be it on the highway or circuit.
