Mine doesnt seem to have it?

Everything else works inc the digital clock , sunroof etc but there isnt even a noise when you try to lift the knob from the inside to unlock either side door?

Not sure, but possibly it was available only as a specified extra??
Mine has, but it's a rather later model.

Have you got the switch with a "key" picture on it next to the sunroof switch? This is the "lock all doors" switch linked to the central locking. My 1986 driver's handbook doesn't even mention central locking, so it was more than likely an option.

Mine is a 1986 944 Lux and it has central locking ... although it pleases itself now and again (usually when it is raining) when neither of the doors unlock on the key - so, it is a case of opening tailgate on the key and then, with a dignified leap, try to "fire the system" by pulling up one of the locking plunger thingies (without scratching paintwork (again - doh!) with belt buckle). General question - is it an easy DIY job to fix/replace the servos?
