Should I be worried?

I have just dropped into KwikFit (I know!) to have them take a first look at what is a very annoying rattle first thing in the morning (when engine/exhaust cold) - I thought it to be a rattling heat sheild.
I was right, it was. It's the one just back from the cat that is near the lamder sensor (I think ??). So it turns out it was rusted away to the point of falling off, so they took it off. Now, given the location and that now there is no heat sheild - should I be concerned that the heat is going to cook something?
I've now built it up in my head that something important is going to fry.

Any help gratefully received - Nick

Hi Mate

No need to worry - mine used to rattle on my 986 so i removed the rattling part and just got my local garage to screw the other panel on tightly - they did it for free

nothing to worry about - nothing will fry and its common problem

hope that eases your worries
