Should I renew the Warranty?

I've owned my 2002 996 with FSH & current mileage of 73k for just short of a Year, when I bought it I negotiated with the Porsche Specialist Dealer that they set me up with a Warranty that cost them circa £500 through a company called Auto Protect based in Harlow. Had no issues all year covering just 4K miles, now received the warranty renewal notification, which I guess will be similar cost, however thought I'd ask my local OPC (who recently serviced it giving a good thumbs up as a sound car) & got the pretty strong message I should have a warranty! However they don't recommend anyone & said go on the forums & see what people say? Does anyone have any views to help please? ... Should I renew or is there any better organisation I should switch to?

Thanks Adam

Take a look at Hartech, they have a scheme covering Engine woes. I think from prior posts on similar questions, the consensus has been to set aside some cash to cover the potential costs and Budget approx £1k per year. Don't think there is a right or wrong way here.
