Had a lovely chilled out day at the Park with a few Porsche cars on Sunday. My first Porsche show I must say, but certainly wouldnt be my last.

The show was more relaxed and chilled out than most of the watercool VW shows, with not a lot to prove. I feel, with most of cars there in its original state reminds me of the good old days of GTI International back then, when all mk1 GTIs and Mk2 cars were all near the same, with the odd change of wheels, and the brave hearted who had bodykits. Now its all changed, and I must say im tired of all with the bickering and the egos of who has the best modded car in the UK if not Europe.

You can say Porsche is a progression from the Volkswagen, when im sure some of the boys who had the love of VW beetle now own Porsche 911s!

Anyway, twas a nice and not so busy show due to the overlapping of other shows such as Goodwood, etc on the day. But hey, i did have a really good banter and was good to meet interesting guys like Melvin the guy with the 964 cup car.

Enough of my waffle, heres some pics of the day;-)

Great pictures and good day out by the sounds of it. I was at Goodwood and bit disappointing after attending such good shows as the Silverstone Classic and the Castle Combe racing during the summer. Goodwood doesn't lend itself to good spectator views unless you cough up the £100 to get into the grandstands which were heavily policed against entry without tickets. The banks that surround the track are sloped steeply so that those against the fence see well but those behind don't. Also the paddock area was prohibited so I felt deprived of getting up close to the cars or chatting to the drivers which I'd done at the other places. I'll be at Reading next year. Dekker

Thxs for sharing the pics, I was 33000 ft in the air in an Airbus 380 so unable to attend what seemed like a great show... will try harder for next year ...
