Just a short reminder to all that the Kent Region show and shine is back in the lovely setting of Hever Castle on Sunday 15th July.

Everyone is welcome to come and take part or just to come and look at the cars on display.

We all look forward to seeing you there

I have just returned to the UK and my tickets have arrived. With young children, a car event in the grounds of a castle is perfect (it took me much longer to persuade the wife we needed to take the girls to the British Superbikes at Brands...). Do you have any details of the format of the event, there is nothing posted on the Hever Castle website? Is it just a Porsche event, or is it a general car show? And are the cars being judged?

Thanks
Gavin.

It is just a Porsche event, although some cars from the Essex TR owners club are due to be there as well.

The format will be very relaxed and if you want to enter into the competition you are more than welcome but it's not compulsary. The Judging is along the line of the 'street concourse' which means the engine bay, boot and wheel arches are not included, but the wheels are. This is to give cars that are driven regularly a chance against those that are a 'weekend' car.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Well i've just washed the grime off from the Bromley Pageant and had a new fuel pump fitted this morning, so lets hope the rain holds off, see you there.

Thought your car looked stunning......certainly my favourite of the day.

Hi everyone,
Greetings from R23, we all had a very enjoyable day yesterday at Hever. So pleased the weather kept fine for all of us. BBC News today showed hailstones in Canterbury yesterday almost the size of golf balls!
Speaking for myself, coming equal 1st in the Visitors' Class was a pleasant surprise, won't let on how much preparation I did, but I did brush the carpets!
best regards,
John 'Jeb' Jones, Region 23 (Sussex) Regional Organiser [:)]

Thanks Lee, I thought all the cars looked superb. My family came too and we enjoyed a picnic in the lovely gardens, although with 2 very young kids I did not get to spend any time meeting other PCGB members.
