Shuttleworth - why I cannot be there..

Oh no !

I've been entered into a Dragon Boat racing team for this weekends Dragon Boat Festival over at Willen Lake in MK. It seems that a bunch of companies (including Harath - mine) will be congregating on Sunday 4th July, with racing from 11:30 am. Going by the spread of companies and interesting team names, it will be a great event.

There is however a serious side - namely, we're trying to raise £'s for Willen Hospice - a 20 bed palliative care unit for people with life limiting illnesses such as Aids, Motor Neurone disease and Cancer.

It is the only adult hospice for the community of MK.

I'd appreciate any show of support / £ sponsorship and if the racing finishes early enough (i.e we get beaten soundly) then I'll haul the carcass over the Shuttleworth event. [:)]

I'll sponsor you a fiver for every person that arrives at the pub in your car on Sunday.

Thanks to the members from R10 who sponsored me / the team in this event. I strongly recommend it as an occaision that R10 ought to consider for next year.

It's brilliant.

The whole atmosphere was "carnival" and the teamwork thing works well when you get the red mist...

And....all can play - boys and girls !

So, again, thanks to Mike, Andy and Ken for stumping up £ for Willen Hospice. [:)]
