Side Light Replacement - problem

Hi all,
Having now had my 993 for a few months I'm starting to tidy her up and make a few alterations. Having fitted a set of HID's, the side lights in the front bumper now look rather sad and yellow by comparrison! For my birthday, my wife kindly bought me a set of RS look brake ducts with driving lamps from Design911 (http://www.design911.co.uk/fu/pt70_193_-cma81-cmo109-ct325/Porsche/993--911--1994-98/993--911--C2-1994-97/Lighting---Lamps---Lens/Fog-Drive-Lamps/) to replace the original units. Having offered up the units, I now have a bit of a quandery, the lamps are wired for and have a fog light type reflector (55w etc) - what about side lights? There's obviously a solution as I've seen a number of cars with this typew of light unit fitted and of course the RS has a similar design.
I see I have two options:
1 - Re wire the fog light as a side light - would work but would give a very bright side light with a wide beam patern.
2- Re-wire the dipped headlights (now HID) so that they come on as side lights - not too happy about this.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Phil

you can put the sidelight in the front indicator. Use an LED sidelight and they look good, you need clear front indicators obviously. There is a circluar imprint in the inside plastic which can be cut out.

I'd have throught it must be "standard" for cars that come with brake ducts - like the RS (and turbo??) - which must be why the cut-out is there.

Hi Phil

My friends has the Ducts and the side light is mounted in the top corner of the Fog. Looks like a factory thing too.
Have attached a pic for you

Arrh, that's how it's done! Thanks for the piccie Graham.
Looks like I'll have to modify my indicator, however, I'll now need clear indicators!
