side repeater hanging loose

Folks - maybe someone can give me some help. Yesterday i noticed that my side repeater light is hanging lose from the front wing, with only the wiring preventing it from falling off. I've tried pushing it back into place but there is no hold, and it just falls back out again - is there ment to be some kind of clip attached behind the repeater to hold it in place? Tried to remove the repeater on the other wing to have a look behind, but couldn't manage to shift it - maybe a bit more force required.... Any help much appreciated! Thanks.

Nigel,

They are held in by a sprung clip which is part of the plastic moulding. To remove, you have to push one way (I can't remember which) and then pull the opposite edge out. Putting it in is the reverse. If it won't stay in I'd guess the part of the moulding which provides the tension has probably broken. Invest in a new pair - they're not that expensive.

Dave

Failing that Nigel, give me a PM if you want an 'aged' set.

I think I have a pair of old rectangle repeaters in the shed you can have FOC.

But, like Dave says, not expensive new. I paid (iirc) £12 for a set of the oval ones from ace parts.

Dave/ Rob, thanks very much for your help. Rob, I might have already managed to source a replacement, but if no joy comes of it, will certainly take you up on your kind offer.

Cheers
