Side sill....the time has come!

Hi
My 944 86 Turbo failed its MOT on the passenger side lower sill.
I am informed this is common (over time).
I have been quoted £300 in parts by Jaz Porsche in London (very good mechanics) and £800 with their 3rd party body shop recommendation.
May I ask does this seem like a standard price for this kind of work. I expect it is but just wanted to sense check the quote with you.
Any feedback would be most welcome.
Best regards
Julian

Hi Julian

If I was you I'd cut out the middle man ie Jaz and go directly to Chris at 911 Bodyshop opposite who Jaz will farm out the work to anyway. IMHO there is no better place to get your car worked on, Chris's place that is, he's the best.. as for the other place well the least I say about them the better...

Pete
