Side Window Problem

reevers

New member
My Drivers Side window is not able to go up after "winding" it down yesterday.

Motors seem to be working as same noise occurs when pressing the button to go up as the working passenger side.

Window was frozen and just had ice scraped from it prior to it going down.

Any ideas?

I'm no mechanic, but sounds like it could be your window regulator which controls the lifting/lowering of the window. Did it lower easily enough after you cleared it or did it stick? Sounds like your motor is working ok which I think would be a separate part (someone please confirm or correct me here).

I'm no expert either! However, I had a regulator replaced on mine recently. Not exactly the same symptoms - it would come up 3/4 of the way and then go all the way down again on it's own! Doesn't sound like a DIY job though.........[&:]
