Side Window Removal Urgent help required

Yesterday my drivers window failed to open/close and on removing the door card the metal channel fixed to the bottom of the window glass has completely rusted away and is no longer attached to the part that fits into the window regulator. The OPC parts cd shows this as a seperate part number so hopefully I can effect a reasonably priced repair.

Has anyone had this problem and fixed it themselves - if so, how do you remove the side window glass and fit the new part to bottom of window? Thanks

I had to replace these on my 3.2 and assuming the mechanics in side the doors are similar.. It was an easy job, about £30 per window, including a new seal.. Its all just slotted on the regulator arm and a push fit onto the bottom of the glass...

Sometimes you have to hammer on the top of the window with a block of wood to get the seal to 'bend' into the channel -honest!!
