Silicon hoses 997 TT

Has anyone upgraded their silicone hoses from the originals as mine are beginning to weep very slightly. I have spoken to John at Tower Bridge Porsche and he suggested replacing them shortly when the car is serviced. He explained they are a slightly weak point to the intercoolers and thought an upgrade was probably a good idea for longevity. I have been looking around and have seen the Forge silicone replacements that look very robust in comparison and are all made in different colours to liven up the engine bay. Any thoughts?

Thanks as always for help and advice....

If the hose is a weak point & you turn that into a strong point, if you have a pressure issue what will be the next weak point in the system to fail?

I had mine let go in the GT3 whilst in wales, had to get trailered back the repair bill was under £100 all in for a standard replacement pipe, i guess it depends on the root cause of the failure.

If you have Porsche Approved Extended Warranty in place, you will need to verify with your Porsche Centre that any non-standard parts fitted will not invalidate it.
