Sill stoneguard

Any good suggestions for removing sill stoneguard?
I'm carrying out the usual repairs and want to remove all the stoneguard to re-paint.

ORIGINAL: Eldavo

A caramel/toffee wheel in a drill.
Agreed, did all mine last weekend and it took 2hrs.

Heat them first with a hair dryer / hair gun and then use the toffee wheel.

To get the final bits off use tar remover

Just be careful with your scrapers make sure that you use plastic.

I was very happy with my results, just need to find good replacements

Its the stoneguard/paint Im trying to remove, not the 'foils'.
But Im hopeing to only paint to the original line of the stoneguard,if that makes sence?
Wire wheel works well and gets it back to bare metal but I need to keep the streight edge along the length of the sill, lower wing & lower 1/4.

I carefully used the wire wheel on mine using minimal pressure and it only went down to the factory primer with a nice straight edge to the paint. Might not work the same if the panels aren't original though. I painted up to the waistline moulding anyway due to the extent of the repairs required.
