hi,
after a huge period of inactivity i thought i would have a quick look at my horribly bogged up sill, the following pictures show what i have discovered.
the first picture is just after i have ground the paint and thick filler off.

ha ha, yes when i purchased the car the op told me he had them patched up for the mot not pretty but on a positive it only looks like the outer. its like getting a chippy to paint your living room!
 
I'm about to go down the sill repair route on my EBay blind purchase. Well that's after we test the engine and transmission, so far from inspection it's still borderline whether it's a stinker or I've finally got lucky.
 
Exactly like mine looked when I stripped them back! But after a winter and most of this summer I have managed to strip mine back to good metal and weld new ones in, I'm no profesional welder but I'm really happy with the work I did... Its just the paint work I want to redo! But that's this winters project.
