Put this in the wrong place anyway I have a 95 Carrera 2 want to check amount of oil required o change oil in engine and gearbox.
Am I right in thinking that 10 litres would do leaving 1/2 litre for small top up in engine????
About 4 litres for gearbox???
Finally could a Philistine do this (need to be very very straightforward) what are pitfalls or best avoided and just pay someone???

Engine oil change is 9 litres. If you have only 0.5ltr for top up, you're not expecting to be driving very far between oil changes! You can expect to use circa 1ltr per 3000miles of driving.
