Silver early 911 wanted for photoshoot

We have had a request from Henri Lloyd (marine clothing specialists and sponsors of Mercedes F1) for an early 911 for a photoshoot. The car should be 1960-67. They would prefer a silver car with a red interior but are willing to compromise on interior colour. The shoot is to take place on Lindisfarne at the end of the month.
If there is anyone with such a car, who is willing to help, would you please contact us as a matter of urgency, on 01253 592755 or macandsue911@hotmail.co.uk
If there is anyone in that area with any colour early 911, perhaps you would also get in touch.
Thanks,

Mac & Sue McLeod

Thanks for that Helen. At least it got your attention, which is more than can be said for the rest of the early 911 owners.

Having not looked closely at the reference books I only requested what I had been asked for by the people at Henri Lloyd.

lol.. sorry sue. i couldn't resist. (me bad) i know a few early 911 owners who live up that way. amoung them i might even be able to find a silver one but i'm struggling with a red interior. quite common in a 356 but seems to have gone out of vouge when the 911 came in. [:-]

That's because so few early 911 owners use this forum. You might have more luck if ou ask on DDK, but I'm not aware of a 911 in that colour scheme here in the UK.

Thanks for that Nick.

The request was made to PCGB, and I don't see it as my job to go trawling through other Forums. If PCGB haven't got the car required The people at Henri Lloyd will have to look elsewhere.

Mac and I try our utmost to find a car, but if there isn't one, there is nothing else we can do.

This doesn't help, but please don't shoot me down . . . they are definately going to struggle to find that combo, especially limiting it to pre 67and bearing in mind the location. The guys at Henri Lloyd will no doubt find this out (unless you've already told them).

Presumably you've contacted Ian (the Reg Sec) directly . He's got a list of all the early 911 onwers (that are members).

Phil

Thanks Phil. We have been in touch with Ian and everybody else we could think of.

We have just told the people at Henri Lloyd that looking for such a rare beast is nigh on impossible.

The compromise is now that they are still looking for a silver 911, but it has to be as early as possible, and without a spoiler. Interior colour isn't now an issue. To be perfectly honest I get the impression that any pre-impact bumper car would be OK, or one that didn't look too modern.
......................and would I shoot you down in flames?................Never!

Sorry not to get back to you earlier Colin.....Club night.

Could you possibly e-mail us a photograph of your car as soon as you can?

I don't know where you are in the country, but I hope you have remembered the shoot is on Lindisfarne. All the same thanks for the response.

Sue
