Does any one want to join us going to silverstone for the 24hr racing next weekend we will be organising a convoy run from the little chef at Marston Moretaine just of junction 13 on the M1.
Tickets can be bought from Robin and Jo Walker for infield parking as our cars will be on display. We also have the chance to go round the circuit behind the pace car before the race starts. [;)]

The tickets are £ 20.00 for the weekend with infield parking and parade laps behind a pace car you have to contact Robin and Jo Walker register director tel no in porsche post

I just picked up my tickets from Jo and it seems they are valid for the Friday practice as well as all day Saturday and Sunday. The parade lap is on Saturday and, if you want to take part, you'll need to be at the circuit by 10 - 10:30.

Assuming your convoy from MM will go to Silverstone via the A5 through MK I might pick you up along the way.

Regards

Dave

We will be going we will be leaving around 7.30 so we get there for around 8.15 we will be going M1 if you want to meet ??

Bev and Daryl

Thanks Bev (or Daryl)

You're a bit early for me as I have to drag the wife out of bed too!! I'll certainly see you there.

Regards

Dave

Bev, is there anything special happening at 8.15 in the morning? If not, it is a bit too early for me too. It means I would need to set of at about 6.45 to get to Marston Moretaine which is madness. I will try to get to the circuit just before 10 in order to be able to do the Parade laps, so I'll see you all there. We can be at the Brampton Hut services at 8.30 if anyone else wants to join us for the drive

Hi All
I will be phoning Robin or Jo on friday and as long as there are tickets left I will be driving up the M1 and would be looking to meet up (at a decent time[;)])

Hi all,

Thanks to Robin and Jo and Bev and Daryl and everyone else who made a pretty miserable day a real joy. Having the Race Truck there with the shop on-board was great - if not costly - not to mention a WONDERFUL patio and pavement cafe to shield us from the rain. Piccie attached showing us all - just waiting for the rain to really get going so we could do our (only) 1 lap!! I really don't envy the entrants in the 24 hour race to go through tonight.

See you soon,

Regards

Dave & Jane.

Thank you to all those who attended the Britcar 24 hour Race at the weekend at Silverstone, it was good to have your support. The weather was pretty awful but we made the best of it. We'll look forward to a bigger and better event next year!Is there a lady out there somewhere who left an anorak on the stand, if so contact Jo or Robin Walker and we'll return it to you. See you at the next event.

Many thanks to you and Jo for putting the event together,I'll be there next year, all the best.
Nick (Aylesbury)

Hi all,

Thanks to Robin and Jo and Bev and Daryl for putting on the Silverstone event at such short notice.
Having the Race Truck with the big canopy (lots of rain on Saturday) and the shop on-board was great. Drinks and food
supplied throughout the weekend was excellent. a lot of hard work obviously went into organising this event.

The rain provided some entertaining racing during the day, the Porsches in the rain on Saturday during the 24 hr race were
head and shoulders above the rest of the cars in the field

Also thanks to Stuart Hill and Robin for getting my rain soaked car started on Saturday night.

Cheers

Steve and Angie.
