Just interested in who might be intersted in attending the National Event/Silverston Classic Racing Festival in 2013 with Region 1.

Expect a two night stay, parade laps, grandstand seating for the racing and probably a day in the hospitality tent,

I will be emailing our to guage interst in this month so I can add to 2013 event programme if there are a few intersted,

Regards
Scott.

The details below should be in the club magazine.

The National Event for 2013 will be held at the Silverstone Racing Circuit in Northamptonshire over the weekend of the Classic Racing Festival 26 to 28 July 2013.

It was in 1963 that the iconic 911 was first introduced to the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show. It would eventually become the successor to the ever green 356 which had proved so popular and continues to be so to this day. 2013 is the 50th anniversary of the launch of the first 911 and this will be celebrated by Porsche enthusiasts the world over!

World Record of 911s Parade
To help with the celebrations the club will be attempting to get 911 x 911s driving around on the Grand Prix circuit at Silverstone at the same time. It will be a huge task to organise and with the support of all or members the board feels sure we can show the Factory and the world just how dedicated we are to the marque!

We are hoping to attract several celebrities and dignitaries from the Factory to help us achieve our world record attempt and lead us around the circuit.

Silverstone Classic is the world's largest classic car racing festival and the parade lap will be in front of thousands of spectators and the worlds press.

If you would like to be a part of this spectacular parade can you please regiser your interest by email to Silverstone911@porscheclubgb.com who will be co-ordinating the entries. Please state your 911 model and year plus membership number in your email.

Further information will be added to this area when we get more details. Negotiations are still taking place regarding the site, hotel, dinner and guests etc.
