Hi All, Barry Smith has asked me to post details of thei event, short notice but is anyone interested?

We have been given the full facilities at Porsche Silverstone for the post Classic event.. its in 4 weeks time, 21st may built up event 22nd may details in Porsche Post.Sorry it short notice , but I have been waiting for confirmation from Porsche due to repair works to certain items at the centre which I believe are under repair.


We need your help to get this up and running on the day with all the above registers,

We need marshals through out the day.

We need 1 car from each register to display at the front.

We need help from 3pm on the Saturday to built the event.

We also need to take it down on the Sunday...

We will give awards to best register along with other proposed ideas on the day,

This is a big year for the club so hopefully I can relay on all you guys to help me and the club by starting with this event.

A complementary ticket and lunch will be provided and a beer on me should you be a marshal or an RS..

Any restriction on driver age? My son will be 18 in July - passed his test last September and is keen to try the Ice Hill.

(Sorry of this is the wrong place to post this but others may be interested also?)

From the Porsche website:

"Are there any driving restrictions?
Drivers must be between the ages of 18 and 80, please contact us in advance if you have had any convictions or disqualifications in the last 5 years."

Thanks for that chaps! Looks like it's going to cost me a Driving Day for his 18th birthday! [:D]

Still hoping to be there on the 22nd - his exam timetable permitting!

You could try and stall him and attend the event in September.

OK all see you on the day. For anyone without tickets you can purchase on the day. Let me know asap so if we can get dedicated parking area i can make sure we have enough room! weather looks promising[:)]
