Hi All

Went to Silverstone yesterday to the Goldtrack Day - wow it looks very different! Was warned not to take any pics of the work on the new bits of track! Most of the grandstands have gone opposite the pits and the bridge!

This is taken from the pit wall looking at where the bridge was.

4 968s were there including Paul, "Mad Pete", a nice chap with a yellow CS, and a pale blue S -I think- If they want to get in touch, I'll send them the jpegs.

There are some pics here http://s787.photobucket.com/albums/yy158/A9XXC/Silverstone 250210 Track Day/

I took a lot more pics but thought this would be enough.

Paul - CD and DVD sent yesterday.

Mike

Mike - thx for taking the pictures, sending me the discs and then putting this picture up -- that is one great job -- I am indebted.

Paul

NB That was me going down the start finish straight from the pit wall, with the grandstands removed, new barriers and lots more run off area. I was circulating on the wet track with my set of 17" x 7.5J Cayenne rims with just legal TOYO T1-R's. Got the rims surpisingly cheaply and the tyres were off my wife's Golf! - they have now done 2 'wet to dry line' trackdays and I might just get another one out of them before they are finished. Got to look after the pennies.....................

I hoped you like the pics!
I had a great day, all sorts of cars and talking about cars with some really nice folk, doing my hobbies together.

I really liked the 911S too

Paul.
The "rims" look a bit strange, but i guess if they work.......
PS looks like the "old" die hard open face helmet, "refuses" to die.?!!!!?[;)][:D][;)][:D]

...is it on upsidedown though [:D], hard to tell with those 70's helmets

car looks lower also - either too much good food at home or someone has been playing with his suspension

any more cracks about my 'Wallace & Grommet' helmet and I'll get my coat !! ......... [&:]

(think I bought it in 1976 - you remember, that long hot summer!)

those 7.5J Cayenne rims are certainly different, had not intentionally lowered it but I think the elevated camera position is a factor. Will have a closer look

I was quite high up in the stands.
Didn't look too low in the garage.
Mike
Edit - also car was on full aceleration
