Silverstone Auction 944 Turbo S

That number plate is very familiar, but I guess I must have seen it at a concours or in a magazine. Does look stunning, but £35K is pretty impressive.

The first lot was a 928S, originated from South Africa. Looked immaculate, unusual colour, but went for under £10k. That was a good buy.

It was owned by Tony Booth and has competed in Concours at the Lotherton Show a few times. Lovely clean car

I think I've seen that plate before on another car,,,might have been in one of the published books on the model,,,don't think it was red, though, I seem to recall grey but it may have been a B/W picture??

If I was looking to spend big on a Turbo S it would have to be a Silver Rose. I'd view a red/black/ Turbo S and a full spec MO30 89 Turbo in the same light.

That plate was on Gareth Husbands car, last time I saw it, it was upside down in a field so hope it is not the same car! It was also red.
Tony

£35k - blimey!

The purists would point out it's not even standard with a letterbox exhaust and modded engine. Does look gorgeous [8D]
