Hi Alan

At Fulbook on Wednesday, I mentioned the Silverstone Classic.

As if by magic, Clive White - 997RS, posted the information below yesterday.

Best wishes

Brian

A reminder that early bird tickets for this 3 day meeting will be available until 31st March.

This showpiece event with be celebrating its 25th anniversary and as always features a host of on-track action including historic F1 cars. sporstcars, Le Mans prototypes and touring classes. There are also great static displays, concerts, motor club exhibits and trade stands. Prices for Friday entry start at £39 for 2 and include an infield vehicle display pass that will get you into the Porsche Club compound - tremendous value for the entertainment on offer.

Yours truly will be going but don't let that put you off! Tickets can be ordered online at silverstoneclassic.com and you need to quote the Porsche Club code C1525003 to get full privileges.

Regards,

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the info. We've now booked for the Saturday. Preparing to leave at dawn to avoid the queues!

For everyone's information, to get into the in-field parking area you'll need to allow up to an hour to get into the Silverstone Circuit. The traffic queues on the A43 on the Saturday and Sunday are usually horrendous and can easily extend for 2 miles before the Silverstone exit.

Fiona

My pleasure Fiona.

I can only echo your queue advice, based on last year.

Let's hope it is as sunny this year.

Best wishes

Brian
