For those of us going on the Friday, shall we meet up in advance and convoy to Silverstone?

Beaconsfield Services just off the the M40, J2 seems like a good bet.

Having only been once before though, I'm not sure what time to suggest. Any offers?

Cheers

James

I'm intending to go (not booked yet)...the website says qualifying starts 0900 but doesn't say what time the gates open. Be nice to get there promptly as usual!

Could I join you from Oxford Services? I'm sure we could arrange something nearer the date so that I can slip out of the services at the right moment....?!!

Looks like I'll be going for some of Saturday too, meeting my brother to see his newly acquired Honda NSX (but only if he's bothered to join their club and get into club parking...I shan't be walking halfway back to Brackley to the public car parks!!)

happy to leave earlier if need be, I'll go with the majority

Well there's only the three of us so far. We'll wait and see if there are any other takers before deciding what to do.

Cheers

Booked for Friday & Saturday...can't wait, and doing both days I'll be able to have a good poke around the paddocks on the Friday, saving the Saturday for watching the racing!

I notice there's a Traction Engine Rally too...wonder if they'll be doing a few laps?

I intend going Fri, Sat, & Sun. but generally travel the more scenic route, ie Amersham,
Wendover, Aylesbury, Buckingham.
On Friday when the majority appear to be going, Hope we can meet up for food ie barbecue or something.
ideas ?

Hi James & all,

I have tickets for Sat & Sun, including camping on the Sat night. Never been before so not sure how to play it. Presuming the weather is ok I'll be staying over so I can enjoy the concerts and festivities with a few sherberts!!! Alas I don't have a ticket for Friday so will miss the convoy. Any of you there over the weekend, hopefully we'll cross paths, or can arrange to rendezvous.

Anyone down for the Jubilee thingy at Cirencester yet? Any convoy plan in the offing?

All best,

Christian.

Friday was just great, a good bunch from R19. Pity Saturday was spoilt by a 3 HOUR queue on the A43. Luckily the car managed it and there was a final light hearted moment as I realised we had been in the jam with Craig close by (sorry I missed you once we got in...I'd arranged to meet my brother).

Might just do the Friday next year...

3 hours is beyond ridiculous. I agree Friday was good even if our BBQ ended up being more than a little damp...

I do fancy seeing some racing next year so maybe camping is the answer.

Anyone seen anything posted anywhere about the reason for the queues?

James
