I'm really looking forward to this year. They have introduced a new series called GT Legends, which is aimed at the 90's car. I took my GT2 R to the media day and gave a load of passenger laps, and there were other nice cars there on the day; Porsche GT1, Lister Storm, Jaguar XJ220, F1 GTR Long Tail, etc.

I've entered 2 of my cars, why don't you enter your Cup car Melv.

Thats really interesting......might be up for doing that in the NGT next year. Would love to have it in Silverstone classic.

The 90s GT event is only a parade and not a race. And, I doubt very much that they'd be remotely interested in 964s save for the RSR.

Ooh, you've changed! :ROFLMAO:

Ps. Have you changed your email address Damen? Could you PM your new one?

Hi Rich

PM sent.

Hi Des

It would be great if our cars could get an invite but I don't think what we have is what Silverstone want.

to be honest Silverstone does not Rock my boat ..... they really need to look at what people want, surely N-GT Porsche would qualify as would RSR etc .... buy hey

OK, not so interested in a parade, and agree people will just see a plain 964 with an NGT. They want RSRs wings and all.

However, wont be long before silverstone classic is looking at 90s porsches. Do you see the interest in super tourers at BTCC? Wont be long until they want Cups / NGTs racing again. (I hope)

They are interested in all one make GT championship cars from the 90s. I.e just like 964 Cups in race liveries. That's why I suggested it to Melv. The plan is that this year is to build interest for a set of races next year and from then on. the organisers are really kken to build this up and ran a full race series to run along side the group c championship. You invite yourself simply by entering. They cant invite you if they don't know what you have.

Tks for suggestion Paul but sprinting at Combe Sat and I'll need a rest Sun, LOL!!

Would be interested to follow this, Paul - if you enter the parade, and have contact details for Silverstone classic organisers, I'd be happy to drop them a note with my details and details of the car. I could put the car in period history (sort of), although it wasnt very stickered up from what I know. Also, it only every did club racing and a bit of mixed GT (As far as I know), but I'm guessing they'd be happy to see if it, if they'll take cup cars.

Hi Hacki. The contact details for the organiser for the GT Legends grid are:
Jarrah Venables
Tel: +44 (0) 7871 418 549
90sgtlegends@silverstoneclassic.com

Contact him straight away as the event is soon now, and they're organising the camper van slots for competitors. Be nice to meet you and put a face to a name.

Doh, sorry Hugh. Of course Hacki is just Hacki. And to think I've got your car safely tucked up here in a bubble.[8|]

No worries Paul, I should put an avatar or something up. Mail sent to keep in contact for what they do in the future.

PS RS 29s pls [;)]

Quick question - anyone received their tickets yet for Silverstone Classic. Haven't got mine yet and starting to get worried as I'm here, there and everywhere but the postal address used between now and next week.

Thanks,

Ben.
